Hector Castillo - President
Mr. Hector A. Castillo is the President of ECM Group, Inc., a project management and engineering firm providing comprehensive services to municipalities and other organizations in the public and private sectors. With more than 30 years experience in project management and infrastructure development, he has developed considerable knowledge and skills in all phases of project management and finance of public and private sector projects. Mr. Castillo also serves as president of the Latino Engineers and Developers Society (LEADS), an organization engaged in identifying potential Infrastructure projects and business opportunities in which Hispanic architects and engineers can play a leadership role. Mr. Castillo has previously served as President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers- Los Angeles chapter (SHPE-LA), as Chair of the Transportation Business Advisory Counci19 (TBAC) and Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACIVITA). Also as Director for of the International Affairs Committee of the Los Angeles Council of Engineers and Scientists (LACES). Mr. Castillo is widely recognized for his outstanding and tireless community service, by US and international business groups, community based organizations and elected public officials in US Congress, the California State Legislature, the County and City of Los Angeles and many other cities in Southern California. His outstanding service in engineering earned him the title of "Fellow of the Institute for Advancement of Engineering (FIAE). He was nominated for the Ron Brown Award, the highest award given by the City of Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunities Committee (LAMBOC). In 2003 he was awarded the Business Man of the Year Award by the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council. Mr. Castillo holds a graduate degree in engineering from the California State University of Los Angeles. He has completed an engineering management program at the California Institute of Technology (CALTECH). He has organized and participated in various conferences, expositions, seminars and trade missions through out the US, where he has been able to tap extensive strategic business contacts.
